“We have evolved from reporting the past to shaping the future.”
FeedingNigeria.org began as the Nigeria Food Security Index — an annual report designed to give policymakers a rigorous, evidence-based picture of the Nigerian food system.
Over time, we recognized that a once-a-year snapshot could not capture the speed at which food crises emerge, evolve, and demand response. Inflation, harvest failure, conflict — these do not wait for annual cycles.

Publication of the Nigeria Food Security Index as a static annual report — a rigorous snapshot of the food system, distributed to policymakers and researchers.
Growing awareness that annual data cycles could not capture real-time shocks — inflation surges, harvest failures, conflict displacement — as they unfolded.
Full transition to a live intelligence platform: continuous monitoring, state-level dashboards, and actionable policy inference — built to shape decisions, not just document outcomes.
